Dr T is a believer in the Holistic approach to health and healing. He does not believe in disease treatment, he believes in disease prevention. He runs his clinic on one over riding principle “Patient Centered Solutions not disease centered solutions”. As Dr Osler the pioneer of Functional Medicine said, “ The GOOD doctor treats the disease, the GREAT doctor treats the patient”. Dr T Is a firm believer that supporting the natural process of the body will allow the natural healing process to heal the body.
His clinic “Tucson Functional Medicine” focuses on Treating
- Neuropathy (Using FDA cleared Pulsed Infrared therapy & FDA approved Cold Laser)
- Restless Leg Syndrome (same tools as the Neuropathy above)
- Digestion Issues (GERD, IBD, IBS, Chron’s, Ulcerative Colitis, SIBO [Small Intestinal Bowel Overgrowth], Leaky Gut)

Dr T, as he is known, starts with the philosophy that the body and the earth have all the tools that are needed to heal itself. If it didn’t humans would have been extinct a long time ago. Sometimes it just needs a little help to get moving in the right direction.
Dr T grew up in Sierra Vista, but left AZ in 1979. After living overseas for several years (Israel, Spain) and living in the Pacific Northwest for 19 years (Dr T’s wonderful wife’s family lives up there). He returned to AZ in 2009 and has been helping with AZ health issues ever since

Had Dr T not found functional medicine he would probably be out of the healthcare field. After many years of frustration with the health care model in the US he was ready to go and find another profession. But when he found Functional Medicine it lined up with his philosophy of health and healing. Functional medicine put the patient and the patient’s health at the center of focus (like it should be). Functional medicine is searching for the cause of the problem not just covering up the symptoms. His drive and vigor returned for the healthcare field and he is helping people understand the potential of the human body. Helping them rediscover their health and the happiness and freedom that leading a healthy life brings.
As Dr T says, “I try to live by this philosophy every day”:
I am willing to do today, what others WILL NOT do
Tomorrow, I can do what others CAN NOT do
Dr T would be honored to help you in your health journey. If you have the desire, he ha a personalized step by step program to guide you in your health journey.
He uses advanced tools built by the Functional Medicine Doctors (FMLogic) to get a GREAT personal history (no one knows your body better than you) and advanced blood chemistry software to take your blood work to a new level of understanding. One of the main goals of Functional Medicine is to educate the patient about their body and how to attain and maintain health so you do not need to go to the doctor as often. Functional Medicine also believes that the patient’s lifestyle should replace supplementation. They are called supplements because they should be supplemental to a healthy lifestyle.
